The company was founded in 2012 by Matthew immediately after kick-starting his career as a planner in Cyprus for 4 years. He returned to the UK with a mission to create a more personal and bespoke wedding service for his clients. Around the same time, he met Bertie and together they worked to create Matthew Oliver Weddings as we know it; with Matthew focusing on creating incredible weddings and Bertie, structuring the backend of the company, as well as specialising in wedding logistics. In the meantime, Winston "the Boss", their dearly loved Irish setter, stole their hearts and became the inspiration for the company logo. Since then Rupert has joined the family, taking over the mantle from the late Winston to become "the Baby Boss".
Over the years, the team has expanded to include an incredible team of people, from Admin assistants to Experienced Planners. Each of us with different strengths that we can lean on to utilise. We're a family and we all want to do our best to make our couple's weddings the very best they can be! We love what we do and it's that passion that drives us to grow and keep getting better.
