When Lexie came to us, she already had a theme in mind as well as a vision. By vision, we mean a fully decked-out mood board that immediately blew us away. The wedding was inspired by the iconic 2006 film starring Kirsten Dunst, Marie Antoinette, so pink was the primary colour. We were obsessed!
They chose the newly renovated Chateau du Grand Lucé to host their wedding weekend and a selection of the best vendors, including the incredibly talented Amie Bone to work her floral magic. The colour palette featured many shades of pink and blue.
The ceremony and cocktail reception were held in the Chateau's potager, where the grand staircase created the perfect altar and, later, backdrop.
While this wedding has many exciting design details, the escort card wall is the most interesting. The wall was made up of almost 100 pink frames featuring an oil painting of each guest made to look like they were in 18th-century France. The other side of the wall became an elaborate backdrop for the bar. How ingenious!
