Sintra was the perfect destination for T&C. Nestled in the hills above Lisbon, Sintra is a beautiful town full of history and architecture. With palaces dotted around, it created the romantic destination the couple were looking for.
100 guests joined us from the US for a 3 day event across 3 different venues.
We kicked the weekend off at Casa dos Penedos, a pink palace nestled in the hills of Sintra. Giving a nod to Taylor’s Spanish heritage, local flamenco dancers welcomed our guests. A Portuguese barbecue menu was then served in the divine ‘Mirror Room’, which is ornately painted with my favourite blue peacocks, which we made sure to incorporate in the stationery items.
T&C wore bespoke velvet green jackets from Brooke Brothers , bowties from Brackish and bespoke loafers customised with each of their initials (in the style of their wedding crest of course!) from Bown of London.
The wedding day was held at the Monestary at Penha Longa Resort. We wanted the guests to have a wow moment at every part of the day, and the venue gave us all of the spaces to do so.
The historical ruins of Nuncio housed the ceremony. The space dates back to the 16th century and is just spectacular. Guests sat waterside to watch the nuptials.
Guests then moved across to the Monestary courtyard for cocktails, before heading into the Arcos room for dinner by candlelight. We kept decor simple with white and gold centrepieces, but incorporated pops of navy and green to deepen the look and to create a more masculine design.
We hosted the after party in the Nobre room, which is an 18th century space adorned with beautiful tiles. The party lighting enhanced the room’s details. T&C’s party would not be complete without drag queens, who really made the party, keeping the energy up into the early hours.
