French Riviera Wedding

A Three-Day Celebration of Fun on the French Riviera

When Rita and Holger set out to plan their wedding on the French Riviera, they had one non-negotiable: it had to be fun. Not just beautiful, not just luxurious—but bold, playful, colourful, and filled with moments that would surprise and delight their guests at every turn. Set across three unforgettable days at some of the most iconic locations in Monte Carlo, Cap Ferrat & Monaco, their wedding weekend was the perfect balance of theatrical energy and timeless elegance.

From a high-energy welcome party at Amazonico, to a show-stopping ceremony and reception at the Four Seasons Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, and a sun-soaked farewell brunch at La Rose des Vents, this wedding was an immersive experience from start to finish.

The celebrations kicked off with a lively welcome party at Amazonico, setting the tone for the days ahead. Guests were instantly immersed in an classy yet chilled atmosphere of colour, music, and celebration looking out over the stunning Monte Carlo. It was the perfect way to bring everyone together, shake off any travel fatigue, and signal that this wedding weekend was going to be anything but traditional.

Laughter flowed freely, cocktails were plentiful, and out on the rooftop made it clear: Rita and Holger were hosting a celebration where joy came first.

The wedding day itself took place at the breathtaking Four Seasons Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat,, overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean. But while the setting was undeniably classic, the experience was anything but predictable.

As guests took their seats for the ceremony, they were met with an unexpected moment that perfectly captured the couple’s personality—a prank aisle song set to “Satisfaction” by Benny Benassi. It was cheeky, bold, and immediately put smiles on everyone’s faces. This was not a wedding where guests quietly waited for what came next; it was one where they leaned in with excitement.

Adding to the theatrical atmosphere, ballerinas performed as guests entered the ceremony, moving gracefully through the space and blurring the line between wedding and performance art. Throughout the day, elaborately dressed hosts mingled with guests, creating moments of surprise and wonder, while a roaming Polaroid camera guy captured candid, joy-filled snapshots—instant keepsakes from a day that felt alive at every moment.

And of course, no celebration would be complete without Amigo. Rita and Holger’s beloved dog was woven beautifully into the weekend, featuring in stationery and production elements, and making a short special appearance at the ceremony.

As the sun dipped lower and the celebration transitioned into the evening, the atmosphere shifted seamlessly from playful to refined. The dinner reception at the Four Seasons was the definition of understated elegance.

A long table ran down the event space beside the pool, framed by panoramic views of the sea. The design palette was intentionally clean and timeless—crisp whites and lush greens filled the tablescape, allowing the setting itself to shine. It was super classy, effortlessly elegant, and a striking contrast to the bold, theatrical elements earlier in the day.

As the evening drew in we saw various entertainment from mirrors for messages and musical acts that intertwined through the night. Following dinner, the music and entertainment continued with dancers, live band/s and DJ to end what was a high energy and beautiful day for Rita and Holger.

This balance was what made Rita and Holger’s wedding so special. They proved that a celebration can be wildly entertaining and deeply sophisticated, all within the same day.

After a full day of celebration, the final chapter of the wedding weekend unfolded at La Rose des Vents in Monaco. A relaxed brunch with Aperol Spritz, sun beds and coastal views as the main focuses. Guests gathered once more, this time in a more laid-back setting, sharing stories from the night before, laughing over drinks and a seafood menu whilst soaking up the Riviera sunshine.

It was the perfect send-off—easy, warm, and filled with connection. A chance to slow down, reflect, and savour the magic of a weekend that had been thoughtfully designed down to every detail.

Rita and Holger’s three-day celebration in France was a masterclass in creating a wedding that felt personal, joyful, and unforgettable. By embracing bold ideas, playful surprises, and theatrical storytelling—while grounding it all in impeccable design—they created an experience that guests will be talking about for years to come.

This wasn’t just a wedding. It was a celebration of fun, love, and personality, set against one of the most beautiful backdrops in the world—and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
