France Bridgerton Wedding

4-Day French Wedding

This 4-day France wedding in the heart of the Loire Valley started off in the city of love, Paris, along the River Seine - this was the perfect start to a fun filled weekend.

After Paris, guests made their way South, and arrived at the majestic Château du Grand-Lucé, greeted by both Alex and Will along with the stunning architectural beauty and lush surrounding gardens of the Château. Alex is an architect and first discovered Château du Grand-Lucé when studying, it was always her dream to get married at the Château, so it really was a full circle moment for them.

The welcome dinner took place in the beautiful Orangery, set down in the walled garden.
The evening began with cocktails featuring signature drinks and lively music, creating an inviting atmosphere. As the sun set, guests were seated inside the orangery for a BBQ buffet crafted by the talented team at the venue. The menu highlighted a mix of charcuterie items, breads and mixed vegetables, which perfectly complimented the long wooden dining tables, styled bountifully with bunches of grapes, artichokes and mixed beeswax pillar and taper candles. The elevated farm-to-table look was complete with bow detailing and custom embroidered napkins.

The wedding day unfolded amidst the enchanting surroundings of the local church, adorned with an elegant floral arch and additional arrangements placed up the aisle. Alex walked down the aisle accompanied by a beautiful quartet. After the ceremony, Alex and Will exited the church to joyful cheers of the locals and a classic white Porche convertible. Guests followed Alex and Will's short journey on foot through the quaint village streets back to the Château front lawns. The luxurious cocktail hour featured a selection of drinks and artisan cheeses, charcuterie and vegetables allowing guests to mingle and celebrate the newlyweds. Guests sipped on tasteful cocktails whilst listening to the Bridgerton-style quartet and lounging on beautiful French linen sofas.

The reception was held behind the Château, where two long tables were elegantly set with fine white and gold china, charming glassware, and stunning low floral centrepieces of green and white. Tall chandeliers ran the length of the tables and we brought in black French street lamps to frame the tables and provide soft lighting as night set in. Soft background music entertained the guests as they enjoyed a delightful dinner. As dinner came to an end guests were guided to the garden terrace, where they sipped on champagne to a surprise firework display, perfectly timed to New York New York. The night continued in the ballroom, taking the party up a notch with dancing, more cocktails, incredible lighting and unforgettable moments accompanied by high-energy DJ Live sets.

The day after the wedding, the celebration continued with a relaxed pool party at the Château. Guests enjoyed a laid-back atmosphere, lounging by the stunning pool. A brunch feast was prepared, featuring a variety of breakfast items and refreshing summer cocktails and coffees. The pool party allowed everyone to unwind, reflect on the magical wedding weekend, and create lasting memories before saying goodbye.

The wedding celebration at Château du Grand-Lucé was a perfect blend of elegance and joy, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and cherished moments that will be remembered for years to come.
