We kicked off the celebrations by keeping our guests completely in the dark. Everyone boarded private boats, completely unaware of the destination, and had so much fun guessing along the way. When they stepped off, they were greeted by local Turkish musicians and custom-themed cocktails. The secret location was Istanbul’s historic transport museum that we completely transformed into an immersive Turkish Bazaar. As soon as we visited months prior, we knew immediately it was the unique venue we had been looking for. As we moved through the space, guests could shop for their own welcome bags at our Bazaar. We had street food stalls where guests could try local delicacies, not to mention interactive entertainment moments like our sherbet seller and fortune teller.
On the wedding day, we were given an incredibly fun and vibrant brief. We were able to explore colour drenching in every space. For the ceremony, the rooftop herb garden gave us a dramatic space to enhance. We opted for a striking burgundy look, paired with woven grasses, to bring so much texture and interest to the setting. When we reached cocktail hour, the colours became pink. Guests enjoyed cocktails, photos, and collecting their names from the escort card wall. It was such a fun and immersive experience for everyone. During dinner we were graced by a double rainbow, and it was such a magical moment to witness, showing both sides of the great city of Istanbul -where Europe meets Asia. Located right where two continents meet, it was the perfect symbolism for Jasmin and Sam coming from different places and bringing two incredible families together. After dinner we moved into our red-drenched after party where the guests danced the night away. The couple work in film so created and starred in their own feature film which was projected in the outdoor cigar lounge.
