Some weddings feel less like a single day and more like a beautifully unfolding story. Tom and Cloe’s three-day celebration in Oxford was exactly that — a rich tapestry of places, people and symbolism, all woven together by a deeply personal theme that celebrated where they come from and where they’re going together.
From grand estates to candlelit libraries and tropical colour celebrations, every moment felt intentional, joyful and unmistakably them.
Day One: A Welcome at Restoration Hardware UK
The celebrations began at the iconic Aynhoe Park, setting the tone for the days ahead. Known for its archers baroque touches and bold yet modern details, surrounded by countryside and even the resident deers made an appearance. It was the perfect setting for guests to gather, reconnect and ease into the weekend with drinks, canapés and live music to set the tone.
This first day was all about anticipation — laughter echoing through the grounds, glasses clinking, and the sense that something truly special was about to unfold.
Day Two: From Sacred Vows to Spectacle Ceremony at The Oratory Church
The heart of the wedding day began at The Oratory Church in Oxford, where Tom and Cloe exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony was timeless and heartfelt — a beautiful contrast to the bold, expressive celebrations that would follow later in the day.
Cocktails at The Randolph Hotel
After the ceremony, guests made their way into Oxford city centre for a refined but relaxed cocktail reception at The Randolph Hotel. Guests spilled into the event space and were greeted with welcome drinks and canapés on arrival while live music in the form of a gospel choir played.
Dinner in the Library Room
Guests arrived to Blenheim Palace in vintage buses and as they descended from the buses one of the most striking moments of the entire wedding awaited them: a projection of two birds across the front of the palace — a British robin for Tom and a Honduran macaw for Cloe. These birds, lovingly painted by Cloe’s mum, symbolised not only the couple’s individual roots but also the merging of two cultures, two families and two stories into one. After some drinks were shared in the entrance hall, dinner followed in the atmospheric and grand Library Room, where warm lighting, thoughtful styling, beautiful florals and intimate conversation created a sense of closeness despite the grandeur of the surroundings. It was here that the narrative of the wedding truly deepened — a calm before the spectacular finale.
A Tropical After Party at Blenheim Palace
As evening fell, guests move across to the Orangery at for an unforgettable transformation.
Inside the Orangery, the after party burst into life. Bright, bold colours — pinks, oranges and greens — filled the space, bringing together British tradition and Honduran vibrancy. The atmosphere was electric, joyful and unapologetically fun, with music, dancing and celebration carrying late into the night.
Day Three: A Relaxed Farewell at The Double Red Duke
The final day brought everyone together once more, this time in the relaxed and welcoming surroundings of The Double Red Duke pub. After the grandeur of the previous days, this felt like a warm exhale — a roast dinner, Bloody Mary’s easy conversation and one last chance to savour the weekend.
It was the perfect ending: informal, heartfelt and full of laughter, allowing guests to say their goodbyes while reflecting on an extraordinary three days.
A Wedding Threaded with Meaning
What made Tom and Cloe’s wedding truly unforgettable was the care behind every detail. The bird motif — the robin and the macaw — wasn’t just decorative; it told a story of heritage, love and unity. From hand-painted artwork to large-scale projections and vibrant design choices, the theme carried effortlessly across venues, moods and moments.
This was a wedding that celebrated not just a marriage, but identity, family and joy — and Oxford was the perfect stage for it all.
A three-day celebration, a meeting of cultures, and a love story that truly took flight. 🕊️🦜
