What an incredible experience to be part of, Natalie’s family has been visiting Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas for the last 50 years, and from a young age always wanted to tie the knot on this special island!
Green Turtle Cay is only 3 miles wide, and everyone drives in golf carts, that in itself is pure magic! What we were so impressed with was the community, everyone was helpful, excited and hard working. For us to bring and create a 100 person wedding on this small island, and knowing each guest was supporting this small community was really special.
We created a 4 day wedding, the first day was a boat trip to Fiddle Cay, a small beach island, where we had a beach BBQ - this was a great introduction to the area and nice for everyone to celebrate the upcoming weekend.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Green Turtle Club, with the famous dollar bill bar, where we had local Bahamian food and danced the night away.
The wedding day was at The Bluff House, where we had a beach ceremony, dinner, and dancing. Natalie had a clear vision from the start, which was very minimal, yet fun design, adding a bit of colour through the linen and stationery where the main colour was neautrals.
It all concluded at Pineapples Beach Club for the pool party brunch day, where we had a local DJ, and flowing rum punches (which were strong).
We’ll never forget the kindness of Natalie and Elliott and allowing us to be part of this incredible experience, Green Turlt Cay holds a magical place in our hearts, as do everyone involved with this wedding. We actually stayed on the island for a further 12 days before returning home.
